Blast Guide

Help with the iPhone app.
Email us about the app. Tell us which screen you were on and which blender you picked.
Blast Guide is an unofficial iPhone companion for Ninja Blast portable blenders, series BC100BZ and Blast MAX BC200. It is not made by, affiliated with, or endorsed by SharkNinja, so we can't help with the blender itself, repairs, or warranty claims.
What you can do in the app
- Guide: parts, first-time setup, battery, cleaning, storage, troubleshooting and warranty notes. Switch between Blast and Blast MAX.
- Blend: a 30 second cycle timer, the load order, and blend steps for the selected blender.
- Recipes: more than 1,100 recipes with search and filters, plus the box-insert recipes for each blender.
- Counter: add ingredients and track calories, macros, fiber, sugar, and how full the cup is.
- Lights: match the LED color on the motor base, then tap Call if you need SharkNinja.
Questions
How do I switch between Blast and Blast MAX?
Use the segmented control at the top of the Guide tab, or the blender menu in any other tab. The specs, guide pages, blend steps, load order, light codes and box-insert recipes all follow the blender you pick, and the app remembers it.
Does the app connect to my blender?
No. It does not connect over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. It is a guide you read next to the blender. Use it together with the lights on the motor base and the paper manual.
Does the Blend timer start the blender?
No. The 30 second timer matches one blend cycle so you can follow along. You still press the button on the blender. On the Blast that is Start/Stop; on the Blast MAX it is BLEND or CRUSH.
What's the difference between BLEND and CRUSH on the Blast MAX?
BLEND is a 30 second manual run for shakes and smoothies. CRUSH is the Auto-iQ program: about 30 seconds of pulses and pauses, for frozen drinks and ice. The Guide tab has a Blend programs page for the Blast MAX.
The light on the base is orange. What does that mean?
Open the Lights tab and match the color and pattern. On the Blast MAX, orange means two different things: on the power symbol it is a battery level, and on the BLEND and CRUSH lights it means the motor has overheated and needs to cool down. The app lists each case with what to do next.
How do I find recipes that use what I already have?
In the Recipes tab, open What can I make? and tell it what is in your kitchen. It lists what you can make now, then what you are one or two ingredients short of.
Can I filter recipes by diet?
Yes. Filters include vegan, dairy-free, nut-free, gluten-free, 20g+ protein, low sugar, high fiber, no added sugar, caffeine-free and no alcohol. You can also search, pick a category, and sort by calories, protein, fiber, sugar, time or number of ingredients.
How do I adjust a recipe's nutrition?
Open the recipe and tap Send to Counter. Its ingredients load into the Counter, where you can change amounts and see calories, macros, fiber, sugar and percent Daily Value update, along with how full the cup is. The blend you are building is saved for next time.
Are the kids recipes caffeine free?
Yes. Kids recipes stay caffeine free.
Do I need an account? Is there tracking?
No account, no ads, no tracking. Everything stays on your iPhone. See the privacy policy.
My blender is broken or I need a warranty claim.
That is for SharkNinja, not us. The Call button in the app opens the iPhone Phone app to SharkNinja Brazil support (11 3003-9030). Have your receipt ready.
